Since ATD was trading 756 days earlier on Oct. 17,2018, as was the US stock, why not compare both from that date?


I'm not sure what you're seeing wrong.
Squiggles in the two lines line up perfectly, from start to end, so by eye the dates seem to be perfectly synchronized.
The graph looks fine to me. What am I missing?
One day is price zero, likely how they are counting a day that was a holiday in one country but not the other.

As for your literal question, the problem is that 756 days ago is not a date, and does not specify a date.
Those are trading days, not calendar days. So, trading days where? Different markets are open different numbers of days.
They seem (?) to be doing it right though.
