not very foolish to have all of my 401 k in Bell atlantic stock and will be pension eligible in july 2000 (48years old). However I feel that the stock does all the right things and I want to hold on to it and let it go when it reaches the mid-60's. This may not be a very foolish thing to do since it is 25% of my net worth, but there are times that the perceived power of the stock must overrule all the conventional advise!
Right on there, marialink. Everybody has to make their own choices based on their own experiences, knowledge, "gut feel", etc. The role of TMF is not to make them for you or tell you what you should do, but merely to help you learn what the opportunities and risks are.Best of luck to you.
