My wife works for a large banking institution. We have requested the different 401k plans available from the plan administrator. My question is, if an equity index fund is not available, how foolish is it to use our contributions to purchase company stock? I am a new "fool", still reading and learning.

If it makes a difference, she works for Bank One Corp.
