My company 401k match (50% of contribution up to 6%)is done in company stock. I work for a telecom company whose stock is down 95% from its high. Any company stock presently in my 401k can't be touched till I reach age 55. Because of the "untouchability" of the stock, I never felt comfortable with this setup.
How might I go about getting my company to change to cash match vice stock match? Anyone successful in getting their employer to switch FROM this setup to a cash match setup?
