Charlie's finding stuff worth buying, it must be out there, but it sure as heck isn't treasuries, and I haven't seen anything in munis worth buying, either. Charlie's idea was to pay attention when names appear on the lists of bonds available that aren't usually there--good point. And I know the e-Trade lists well enough to recognize such, if I happen to be looking when it appears.

The process of finding investment opportunities is no secret. Peter Lynch has described it well.

“If I turn ten rocks, I might find one idea. Twenty rocks, two ideas. The guy who turns over the most rocks, wins.”

I’ll freely write bond theory, because the topic interests me. But what I don’t do in this forum is provide specific buying tips. There’s just too many wheel suckers (those who lurk, but never contribute), not that they really understand the bond game anyway, or would have anything worthwhile to say. Fortunately, many of them have migrated on to other boards where chit-chat about “macro-economics” passes for serious conversation.

Also, it's not just me who's still finding ways to put money to work in bonds. Howard's report confirms that.

"Them that can, do."
