What do you think of buying a stock on the dips after there is a large investor sell off, then selling on the peaks? you can pick up 10 to 15% quickly and consistantly with the right research tools.

Personally, I like that strategy but do not have the stomach to practice the idea. I like to select stocks using Foolish type of analysis, and buying those stocks when I perceive a "large investor sell off". However, IMHO, trying to then sell at the peaks and rebuy at the next peak is a black art.

My philosophy is to try to increase by stock portfolio basis by a set amount each three months, and use either accumulated cash or available margin to buy preferred stocks when I perceive a dip.
