The object of this board is to support discussion and comments on The Retire Early Home Page at:

The Retire Early Home Page provides research and commentary on how to retire before age 40. It was created in 1996 by John Greaney as a forum to share the research he'd accumulated in support of his own successful retirement in 1994 at age 38. While the site focuses on really early retirement, much of the information is useful to retirees of any age. Topics include:

1) How to tap your IRA/401k before age 59 1/2 without penalty.

2) What's the safe withdrawal rate in retirement?

3) How much money do you need to retire before age 40?

4) Are you paying too much in fees and commissions?

5) Are you getting the shaft in your 401k, annuity, or variable universal life (VUL) policy?
