Subject: IBM's WebSphere, wireless, and B2B | Date: 3/14/2000 8:00 AM | |

http://www.zdnet.com/zdnn/stories/news/0,4586,2460193,00.html Yesterday, IBM debuted its WebSphere Everyplace suite for wireless devices - Palms, cell phones, pdas. And we know CYCH is baked into the regular WebSphere. Still looking for confirmation that this new application is still CyberCash-enabled, but a quote from IBM at the end of the article makes me hopeful: "We're still the plumbers. We don't want to compete with our partners." AND http://www.ibm.com/news/2000/03/07.phtml These three are ganging up to rule B2B. One of IBM's contributions is WebSphere. "Both Ariba and i2 will extend their solution platforms with IBM's e-business software, including WebSphere, WebSphere Commerce Suite...." WebSphere uses CYCH's CashRegister. When you put these two together, I see the future opening for CyberCash. I'd like to see some solid announcements to back up my DD; I don't care if it comes from CYCH or IBM. |
