Subject:  Investment for 401K IRA Rollover Date:  7/19/2000  1:41 PM

My sister, age 67, asked my advice on investing a modest 401K rollover to an IRA of $27,000. She is single, drawing social security and has a number of bank Certificate of Deposits. She said she doesn't need the income from the $27K. My thought is to invest it in a self-directed IRA through Schwab and buy the Vanguard Equity Income Fund and reinvest the dividends.
This fund has low fees and a reasonable track record.
