Karmi, I am as sales rep for a software company that makes apps for both Mac and Windows platforms. I come to Florida every 6 weeks or so, Usually to Miami, Tampa, or Orlando. I'm not sure where you are in Florida but I would consider coming to where you are or meeting you somewhere, as I am never without my G3 Powerbook. (Hopefully soon to be G4 Powerbook) I would be glad to show you what I can, though I am not really a tech head.

An antidoteā€¦In my previous job, I worked for a company that made professional audio peripherals for both Mac and Windows computers. Part of my job was setting up in-store demo stations using the store's computers. On the average, I could set up a mac system in 2 hours, and a WinTel system in 2 days, along with a half dozen calls to tech support for Microsoft, Adaptac, and my company. The Macs I just plugged everything in, installed the software, and it worked.

Mac = Plug and Play
Wintel = Plug and Pray, then call tech support

BTW, about 80% of our tech support time is spent working out Windows related problems. The joke at the office is, The answer to 80% of the tech support calls should be, "Buy a Mac!"

Spoke to another friend at Apple. Nothing but positive vibes. These are guys with stock options. Still bullish for long term growth. Not so positive about short term..

P.S. Nigel, you seem to be the voice of reason on this board. Thanks.
