Hi waxurt, when it comes to real poetry nobody beats Bukowski. Clearly a case of chacun a son gout - my idea of a great poet is Lord Byron ;-). I appreciated the second link though, that's great. Back in the late '60s Bukowski had a column in a little alternative newspaper in Los Angeles called Open City and I subscribed just to get his stuff. I've since read just about all of his published work and my favorite was his book, Post Office...Dave. |
