I wrote his name on the check, just not his SSN. This kid's been around for 19 years and they have at least 10 prior tax returns.They have the voucher that Taxcut printed and they have the return. I have faith they can put it together but I'll let you know what happens.

I would have done the opposite... included the SSN, but not the name. The SSN is a unique identifier, your son's name is not necessarily unique among the 100 million or so returns filed.

Truthfully, I'm sure everything will work out fine. I have seen circumstances where funds were misapplied because of missing names/SSNs, but they are rare.
