When you don't feel well, is it normal for a persons sugar readings to be elevated?.

Depends a bit on what is meant by "don't feel well" but yes. The Diabetes Self Management magazine frequently talks about the problems of maintaining normal blood sugar levels when one is sick.

I find my own levels also rise when I am stressed or depressed. Actually, it would be accurate to say that my levels swing more widely both high and low under these conditions.
