Here is a link to the various dialects spoken in America:

http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/1906/dialects.html

As I have posted numerous times before, I appreciate the diversity of these dialects. I really do. (Note that there are 24 dialects shown.)

I do want to point out that the name of this board is NOT the "Cajun Dialect Recipes/Cooking Board". While many of the posters here seem to enjoy posts in the Cajun Dialect (or what the posters think is the Cajun Dialect), there are others who don't. (Me, for one.)

So, I have a couple of suggestions.

#1 - rename this Board the "Cajun Dialect Recipes/Cooking Board" and ask TMF to open a "Non-Cajun Dialect Recipes/Cooking Board" for those of us who speak (and read and write) any of the other 23 dialects.

#2 - have the OP put into the subject line of any post that is going to contain mostly what the poster thinks is the Cajun Dialect, the word "Cajun". (This will enable people like me (who are not inclined to try to decipher what the poster thinks is the Cajun Dialect) to ignore the post without having to click on it and say "oh, sh*t, another one" before moving on to the next post.)

Thank you very much for your consideration and my apologies for a somewhat "off topic post".

Christina
