Every time you say "I'm a libertarian, but we really ought to have a law that ..." remember that what follows as a justification should be about 3 sigma better in quality than the current standards for getting a law passed. One of the best comments I've ever heard on that was, "The minute someone inserts the word 'but' into a statment, you can guarentee anything preceding that is now a lie." |
