I started with the first issues of Road&Track (about 12 pages) and Hot Rod (not much bigger)when I was in high school 1948-51. I've had subs to almost all of them including Rod & Custom and SportsCar Graphic. My oldest son bought AutoWeek when he was in college in the '70'sand past it on, and now thats all I read, everything else is on-line and timely. We lived in London in the '60-70's and I worked all over Europe and read the local magazines in German, Africaans and French, most were pretty good.

About 1990 Autoweek wanted $10 more for a 2 year renewal than for a new subscription. So my Old English Sheep Dog, Oxford Stockman, signed up for the new subscription, it's still in his name. Ever since that time he's been getting DVD's from BMW, fancy invites to road test new Jags at Road Atlanta and marketing phonecalls from credit card companies. We usually tell the callers "He's tied up in the backyard right now, he'll get back to you." He passed away at the age of 13 in 1996 but loved cars, especially rental cars (good smells).
