Depositing several large cash amounts, each under $10k, leads to a Patriot Act audit. Though I'm not a fan of the PATRIOT (remember they sat up at night figuring out an acronym) Act, we can't blame currency transaction reporting on it. The requirement dates back to at least the 90's. Phil |
