Barbara, my sincere condolences. I hope you take comfort in knowing how much pride and joy your accomplishments gave to your father in his last hours on earth.

I ran across a special Veteran's Day story about your father that was put together by the Idaho Historical Society. From this note, it appears that it ran back in 1995:

April 20, 1995 was designated as Sgt. David B. Bleak day; and the new medical facility at Ft. Sill was named the Sgt. David B. Bleak Troop Medical Clinic.

There are some amazing personal recollections of that day which personalize your father's actions beyond what was listed in his citation. I particularly like the description of how he did what he had to do, in order to get close to his wounded comrades:
"He tended to dismiss the facts by skipping over the action and saying something to the effect "...a couple of 'em got too close".. (the enemy). "
