Hi all. I took an ornithology class in college 16+ years ago and ever since, I've been interested in birds. I am not someone who actually goes birding, however, I do have a feeder and I let them come to me! The point of my post is that I saw my first swallow-tailed kite two weekends ago and last weekend I saw 7 of them flying together through my neighborhood. (Jacksonville, FL) Just wanted to share and was curious as to whether I saw something really special or are they fairly common and I don't usually see them because I'm not looking in the right place? Next time I see them (crossing my fingers), I'll take a picture and post it to this board. Later, Paul (Sickle) |
