Hi all, been a II member for about a year and they sent me here.

1. I am the benefeciary of a traditional IRA (worth about 20k) of which I have to take a distribution for this year. I was wondering if it's possible to open a Roth and roll my distribution into it?

2. In doing this roll over, does that count as my IRA contribution for this year?

My bookeeper's running for city counsel so he's too busy for me right now. Anyone see a problem with this?(the idea, not the bookeeper)
