P&G is a good outfit, but share holders took a serious hit about 2000 - I want to say 40 or 50%. The dividend was not changed, but do you really want to be concentrated in a small number of stocks?

Instead you might look at some broad mutual funds. Ones that come to mind are the Retirement funds or even Vanguard's Wellington. Not very exciting, but it has a long track record and it is diversified.
