Cnsl has earnings per share of about $1.11, but is paying out about $1.55 per share. This kind of dividend payout is not sustainable

Generallly, any company, other than a REIT, with a current yield greater than 5% will require very close scrutiny, as you'll usually find these companies are distresses.
