Invest in dividend bearing stocks. As older bonds mature, there are no new bonds to replace them. My conservative investments seem to be holding up. That plus SS and Pension keep me afloat. I am expecting a huge increase in my Medicare fee under Obamacare, so that will cut into my SS next year.

I know there are SC who lost a bundle in the down markets and it is hard to get the income we used to be able to get. AAABonds, CD's, Treasuries, don't provide income of any consequence anymore.
