Subject: Minor Tax Retun/Illinois | Date: 4/9/2013 8:23 PM | |

I live in IL and had to file a Federal and State Return for my minor son. I used e-smart to file. Before I electronically filed I was going to print and check the Federal and State Returns. He worked part time at a pizza take out restaurant and earned $782. On his Illinois return the program filled out Schedule M - other additions and subtractions for individuals and in the subtractions area subtracted $782 as military pay earned. It was then carried over to his return and subtracted from his Total Income. This was not military pay - any idea why the program treated it and subtracted it? I reviewed the program but do not see where I entered anything incorrectly. Your help is appreciated. Thanks. |
