Several weeks ago, I was reminded that the Fifth Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) was to be released May 2013. This manual supersedes the DSM-IV. Well, it has come out.

By some online discussions over the last several years, this update is both overdue and controversial. I am uncertain what real impact this will have on many of us with current diagnoses since I don't have any formal education and training in the field though I have a lot of experience as a patient. *grins*

Not sure if anyone here is interested in these reference manuals, but just thought I'd put it out here.
