i Checked the site..

I'd get to pay $850 to $900 a month if I were 62 and making my current income....ouch!

I never paid that much before I went on SS....

Not by a long shot!

plus those plans are $2500 deductibles too!

Would that be because you had employer supplied health insurance?

Also you have been out of the workforce quite a while I believe.

To get some idea of what current group insurance premiums are presently; you might on tack on 3 to 5% annually increases passed on to you.

Did find an article on rising cost to employees of employer-provided health benefits.
http://articles.latimes.com/2013/aug/20/business/la-fi-insur...
American workers and their employers saw another rise in health insurance premiums this year, as the total cost of employer-provided health benefits ticked up 4% for family plans and 5% for individual plans, according to a closely watched national survey.

The average employer's share of the premium, in contrast, increased just 3%, an indication that employers continue to shift more health costs onto their employees

Particularly hard hit are workers at small businesses, who already pay more for their health coverage than employees of large firms. Nearly a third of workers at employers with fewer than 200 employees have deductibles of at least $2,000.
