My Appleton Paper bonds are getting called, and the company issued another bond to fund the early redemption. The new bond is yielding about 9%.

I wanted to see if this new bond was trading. Appleton Paper got taken over by Appvion, which is a subsiduary of a larger company. So, I wasn't sure what name to search for the bond. And I could not find the CUSIP number.

So, I found the appvion webpage, fired them off a brief, polite email requesting the CUSIP number, and they mailed it to me. Real easy.

The MORAL OF THIS POST is don't be nervous about contacting Investor Relations department of any company you are interested in. I've always found them to be friendly and helpful to even a very small investor like me.

Now, I have not searched to see if the bond is trading at all or at what price. But, if interested, the CUSIP is in the title of this post. Its due in 2020. And if you go to this link below, and scroll to the bottom of the page, you'll find the K-8 (info sheet) about the bond on the left hand side of the webpage.

P.S., this is NOT a reccomendation from me, just info in case you are interested in it. Personnally, if I can find 5 or less for sale at a decent yield, I expect to buy.

There are a lot sharper people on here than me, so if anyone has comments on this bond, ESPECIALLY ADVERSE, please comment. If really helpful, maybe I'll send you a shot of good gin for Christmas. Thanx much.
