Got an email from value line offering a discount to their convertible newsletter. I got curious about their results. Found an article in Barons from last June. Out of the newletters tracked by Hulbert, the VL convertible survey had the 2nd best risk-adjusted return since 2007. (The article doesn't say which was the best(. I believe the annualized return was 9.6%. Over the past 20 years, VL Convert. Survy has NOT beaten the returns on the average convertible mutual fund. Convertible funds with best 10-year returns were Fidelity and Vanguard. http://online.barrons.com/articles/SB50001424053111904651304... Save the juniper tree....drink more gin. I reckon vintage car buffs are online right now getting their airline tickets to Havanna. |
