I posted the following on the SWHC board. Might as well post it here now that this board is open.

Maybe if they change the meaning of the acronym (ticker), it makes more sense such as:

AOBC - American Owned Ballistics Corporation,
Or sway it back to:
SWAA Smith & Wesson American Armories
SWAB Smith & Wesson American Ballistics
SWAC Smith & Wesson America Corporation
SWAD - no
SWAE - no
SWAD - no
SWAE - Smith & Wesson ... you get the idea.
SWAG - Smith & Wesson American Guns
I know they wanted to subdue the name of the company, but should have left something for identity purposes. I guess i'm happy with top choice above and just get used to the lost look on people when telling them the ticker and they say "Who?" and explain it to them.
The name change has lost a lot of market value. Good opportunity to buy on sale.
