I believe LD is referring to the explosion of such businesses in the last 10-20 years.

Growing up, there were always some industrious kids who made a few bucks from mowing lawns or shoveling snow, etc. They were life skills that one learned that could help them throughout their lives. It didn't usually result in a formal business being created in adulthood.

Today, landscaping trucks are seen everywhere. There are people like Robyn who may need their services due to various physical limitations. There are many, many more people whose work lives leave little time for such activities. That is a shame as being outdoors doing physical tasks can be healthy for otherwise sedentary people. Far too many kids today hardly ever get outdoors to do anything that would raise a sweat. That is where a lot of laziness can be found.

Anyway, I see these vehicles every day. One of the more amusing ones I have seen has Costanza and Son printed on it's sides. I can't imagine that would be good for business.<g> For me, I still like getting outside and doing my own yard work.
