Subject:  Poll: Tie Up Money for 5 Years??? Date:  7/22/2019  10:51 AM
Author:  notehound Number:  563229 of 591987

At what rate would you be willing to tie up at least $100,000 to $250,000 of your currently unneeded nest egg cash for a full 5 years in federally insured bank or credit union deposits?

Assume for purposes of this question that you are retired, on a fixed income, and that early withdrawal will result in a penalty equal to 6 months interest.
