SP writes,

I suppose intercst feels that Presidential candidates should be able to provide every worker with an apartment in a large city, health insurance and a college education for their children.

My how political expectations have multiplied!

With 25,000 homeless living on the streets of Los Angeles, these things seem to be beyond the ability of even Democrats in a blue state and city to provide.

You need to provide housing affordable on the wages being paid.

Here in Vancouver we're building tax subsidized housing for people earning $45,600/yr. Minimum wage for 2020 is $13.50/hr ($27,000/yr for 40 hrs/week). Those folks are sleeping in their cars.

And SP complains that there are people living in ratty RVs in front of his home.
