I was forced to move my prescriptions for Jardiance and Toujeo to mail order because the pharmacy benefits manager decided to not extend discounts to the Costco pharmacy that I've used for decades. Instead, they teased a 90 day mail order supply for 1/3 the cost. Financially, I had no choice. It's no coincidence that the healthcare plan, the pharmacy benefits manager, and the local pharmacy chain I could have chosen are all part of the same company now.

I would have thought the PBM would have been required to let all pharmacies compete equally but apparently monopolistic practices are en vogue these days.
