Hi guys, I'm reading a book from the 80's and they mentioned VISA cards. It got me wondering, before they did everything electronically, how did merchants deal with the paper slips? I'm old enough to have used the impression machine as a customer but our business never got one till they were electronic. How did the funds transfer? Did you have to mail the slips to them? Thought someone here might know and the book got me wondering... Thanks. Simon |
