I noticed the article compared EV cost to gas power vehicles. It would have helpful to include the cost of hybrid vehicles. In my burg of 100,000 in NM. There are only 3 public charging stations none of them a Tesla supercharging station. Thus an EV purchaser would need to install a 240v charger in their home for an additional cost of $1500-$2000. Perhaps more if they needed to upgrade there main fuse box. While EVs will be the wave of the future especially as their range increases it will be years until enough public charging stations are installed for those who take long distance trips. Also the working class cannot afford new vehicles let alone their own charging port. So gasoline powered vehicle will still on the road in my remaining lifetime of 10 to 15 years. |
