Under Biden Administration, Feds Dismiss Dozens of Charges Against Portland Rioters

Clicking through to the actual article, 20 of the 31 cases were dismissed before Biden was inaugurated. All of the remaining ones would have been dismissed by the Trump's choice for U.S. Attorney for Oregon, Billy Williams - who only resigned last week in favor of Biden's appointment. Per Williams, the cases that were dismissed were the ones for which they couldn't get enough evidence to prove the case - not because prosecutors were exercising prosecutorial discretion:

In a recent interview with KGW, Williams explained the cases were dismissed in instances where prosecutors didn’t believe they could prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt.
