In the past two days I devoured Angeline Boulley's Firekeeper's Daughter. I don't have words to express how good this book is. I listened to Isabella Star LaBlanc breathtaking narration through the Libby app. I will be buying the Kindle and Audible versions so I can immerse myself in Daunis's world over and over. In my book list, it tagged it with these categories: BIPOC, FIRST_PERSON , GREAT_AUDIOBOOK, MYSTERY, RACE_RELATIONS, REALISTIC, SEXUAL_CONTENT, STRONG_FEMALE_CHARACTER, THRILLER, YA.
It is an emotional roller coaster following Daunis Fontaine as she tries to discover the source of the drugs that are tearing her friends, family, and community apart as she tries to find how she fits into her Ojibwa and white families.

The Professional Book Nerds podcast has a conversation with the author and narrator at this link.
