"There's something that God gave us and that is common sense, and common sense tells us that that is ridiculous," Evidently he wasn't in line the day God was giving out common sense. Throughout the Bible God declares and decrees that people have his right to defend themselves against those who would do them harm. The founders recognized this and that is why they included the 2nd.
