Lower drug prices can be obtained by Medicare using a non-negotiated price. Medicare would have to do it (which, IMO, *is* allowed). No where is such a system prohibited. Savings about $250B or more per year.

Once it happened, the RWNJs in Congress would try to pass a law to prohibit it (of course). But a multi-year contract would require the govt to pay for the loss, so the RWNJs would "freeze" drug prices at the 2021(or earlier) level for the length of the contract (or longer). In other words, cutting off their noses to spite their face (sound familiar?).
