Is dumb. This play was ridiculous, and is fully a result of the goaltender having to wait for the puck to enter it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uehKn9fwlRg FWIW, I would keep the trapezoid only as a protected area in which 'goaltender interference' may be assessed like it may be in the crease. Outside these spaces, a goaltender playing the puck may be 'hit' i.e. only standard interference still applies. |
