This town is about 80 miles from where I live. A town of 1300 or so they had 1 police officer in 2018. No violent crime. Now they have nine and pull in over a million a year in forfeitures and tickets. They pull people over outside their jurisdiction and harass those who complain. 5 lawsuits.
