"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away." This was almost 48 years ago. April 3, 1965. An amazing and eerily accurate prediction. Do you remember the famous ABC radio commentator? I'd bet many of you will. His initials are PH .....Millions of Americans listened to his programs which were broadcast over 1,200 radio stations nationwide. http://stg.do/9LDc
He forgot the punch line:"...and if I were God, I'd let it all happen."
And that - is the rest of the story.

Good morning Mr. and Mrs. America, and all the ships at sea...Walter Winchell (April 7, 1897 – February 20, 1972
They say Walter Winchell dominated radio and was very powerful until he took on Jack Paar and the Tonight Show. Jack won their feud and convinced people that the power of radio was on the wane.Paul Harvey lasted longer and is well known for his adventures climbing fences at Argonne National Laboratories. He did more flag waving. And was patriotic. But I suspect Paul Harvey was more popular in the midwest; Walter Winchell was popular on the all powerful coasts. Now we would say he was bicoastal.
Paul Harvey lasted longer and is well known for his adventures climbing fences at Argonne National Laboratories.++++++++6 Feb 1951 - Radio commentator Paul Harvey arrested for trying to sneak into Argonne Atomic Lab (IL), to demonstrate lax in security.Ironic that this event occurred in Feb!
