A friend of mine used to have a company that did the chassis and mechanical work for people who wanted to build a kit car but didn't feel up to the heavy work. Even with this portion of the work done, (and not cheaply I may add), most of these projects never get completed by the original buyer.

Unless you are a master mechanic who knows a good engineer, or vis versa, you probably do not want to try this at home.
