A recent report found that shareholders usually ignore proxy statements...The Motley Fool could play a part in improving corporate governance by encouraging its readers to vote their proxies.

Agreed.

Hopefully, people are also aware that it is really easy to vote online at http://www.proxyvote.com/ Just click where it says "To submit your voting instructions over our secure site, click HERE.", enter the control number from your proxy statement, and vote.

If only the presidential and other political voting was so easy, we could eliminate all the chad concerns.
