Wouldn't be nice if Burger King would merge with Dairy Queen?

No rumors ... just a question.

Nah, the all time great is the social network monster to be formed from YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook.
YouTwitFace, of course.

Speaking of acquisitions, one of my stocks that I have a large position in (PWER) via slow accumulation is being acquired by ABB for $1B. The stock is up 57% today.

Any ABB holders here that can provide insight on this company as an investment ?

Nothing deep, but worth a gander.

I dipped my toe in last August/September in the $17-18 range as part of a general "European quality" play.
I like the historical ROE, holding up well even in the European fog and gloom.

For any non-US company this is a good place to start (note all the tabs and sub-tabs)

By the way, congratulations.
57% is probably enough that it doesn't inspire the "dang, I wanted to hold it for longer" reaction.

I'm wondering how I'll do if Microsoft keeps going up at 4%/day as it has in the last 2 days.

I am not as happy because I was expecting much more (10x) from this stock had it not been acquired. Also, with my purchases distributed, I have made a decent profit but not as much as I had expected over the long haul.

However, it does feed good to be validated (after ignoring Mr. Market and going with the conviction)
