Actually I approve of some sort of training before people can use a gun outside the home. But the training must be realistic. And done only once. All records of it purged,the gun user to get a card proving he took the course .If safe guards are not in place then I am against it.

Slippery slope.

That kind of compromise is what got us all the restrictions we have now. The founders were very clear when they wrote: The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed". I think people are pretty smart and they will voluntarily get safety training and training in the use of firearms without being mandated to do so by some mentally dull/cowardly bureaucrat. Constitutional carry is now legal in 17 states and there has been no uptick in violence or accidents.
