Actually, yes.

While maybe not be an issue in this specific situation, nothing in the hosting industry is unlimited. Emails cost resources to the hosting company. In many cases hosts that offer very cheap service like $5/mo throw in "unlimited" emails to make it seem like a really great value. Yet they (the host) secretly hopes no one ever comes even close to that level of service use. They just couldn't handle the load.

As the old saying goes: If it seems too good to be true it probably is.
