I've long felt that canning the magalogue was akin to killing the golden goose. There's lots of mystique and history behind the Quarterly. It's an essential part of the brand, particularly since the company does little marketing or media spending via other channels. Hopefully this is the first step at returning A&F to its roots.

The magalogue: It's back! The combo magazine/ catalogue bastardization never really went away, but Abercrombie is relaunching its version, A&F Quarterly... The preppy retailer dropped the fake magazine several years ago because of the public outcry over the pictures.

Ruehl is selling a $100 "The Ruehl Book" this spring. Apparently the 4th in a series, but it's the first time I've seen it.
