I hope this is the place to ask this question. I've noticed that
prices change on the crawl at the bottom of the Bloomberg screen after
the close of the Trading day.
Who does this trading? Are there institutions or individuals who
buy and sell at those prices?
I got an education on a 90 day stop/loss order when the price plummeted
on after hours news and found that my stock sold at several points lower
than my stop loss order. It was explained by the broker (after the fact)that the sale was triggered after it hit the target price and
sold at the opening price.
If this is the case, why is there an after hours market when orders
can not be finalized?
If I am on the wrong board, please direct me.
Thanks for any help...
Trading in the dark.....Dusty
