I meant to do this last year, but you know how it is, things get away from you. I've had 11 months or so to put together a compendium of well written posts, which I haven't done, or write a long (or short) convincing screed explaining all the reasons why if you don't agree you're a doo doo head, but I haven't done that either.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure where the last 11 months went, except for September, when I was in Boston.

Wait! This is supposed to be about Albaby1; gimme a minute, I'll get there.

There used to be three people for whom I created a bookmark for their last 25 posts. Easier to catch up that way. One went out on a psycho a few years ago, Sync retired earlier this year, Albaby1 is the only one left. When I've drained the pool of "Best Of" and gone through the five boards (out of 67) on my Favorites list which I actually care about, I roam through Albaby1's recent posts, and invariably find something interesting.

He visits the Libertarian board with opposing, but not trollish posts. Heck, he makes his living working through zoning and land use regulations and actually sees the need for government! Here's a very recent post on the issue. Yesterday, in fact:

He posts on the Atheist board, although I'm pretty sure he is a card carrying religion person. Again, always thoughtful, never confrontational, generally right on point. Here he is defending Anton Scalia, hero of the Right on a board which leans liberal, and still manages to garner a bunch of recs:
On the same board he takes on Bush policies:

And here, on PA, he defends lobbying organizations with logic as unassailable as lobbying organizations are disgusting:

Just for fun, I also note that he's active on the Peak Oil Board, I've seen him on the Survivor board, Harry Potter board, METAR (Macro Economic...), Great Movies, and even (if I'm not mistaken) CAPS. I even think I've seen him on the Hold'em Board, and for all I know, on the Golf Channel or something.

Always a thoughtful entry, never a sharp rebuke, a clear and convincing example of what the Fool boards should be about.

Except he's a lawyer, so, maybe, never mind? I rec his posts all the time, hoping to propel them up onto the Best Of board, because maybe that's where people will find out that there is some literate conversation hereabouts. Even on PA. Hard to believe, I know.
